Read along...
My friend and fellow blogger at Criticlasm is making his way through War and Peace. If ever you were tempted and felt like you had a better chance of finishing it if you had company - now is your chance to join A Year of War and Peace. And more power to you. I feel I have greater odds finishing a Ph.D. in neuroscience, and sometimes even that seems a stretch

Thanks, Ted! and be sure to use the Pevear and Volokhonsy translation. It's beautiful. And no more than 4 pages a day for a year--anyone can do it!! :)
LOL! I've been itching to read War and Peace but I don't really have a thing for read-a-longs. Having said that, I think I'll start with a baby Tolstoy and go with Anna Karenina...
Well, Mae, Anna K ain't no 'baby,' but it sure is good. Make sure you do the Pevear & Volokhnosky translation, as Criticlasm recommends for W&P, they're considered our best translators these days.
